Women footballers from Wiltshire College, Weston College and Bristol City Futsal recently joined St Brendan’s students in the sunshine as they took part in the English College’s FA tournament.
The teams
The event brought together teams from local further education institutions to play and celebrate the start of the Women’s World Cup which is currently underway in Canada. The festival enabled students to test their skills against fellow footballers and looked to inspire more females to get involved in the game.
The day provided a great opportunity, not just for the female footballers, but also for other students to put their coaching, organisation and refereeing skills into practice. The teams played well in a competitive afternoon that was enjoyed by all. Congratulations to Bristol City Futsal who managed to claim the sought-after cup, after fighting off some strong competition!
