The sun was shining, the ice cream was flowing and the bands were playing last Saturday, at the first ever St Brendan’s Fresh Fest!

The event was held exclusively for students who will be joining us as Year 12s from September and visitors enjoyed a free afternoon of live music, art and adventure!

Students scattered the College’s grounds and enjoyed a variety of different workshops and experiences as well as live music. The College was thrilled to welcome local talents such as Silent Hobo – an incredible graffiti artist who ran workshops with the students, who together completed a huge 32ft long mural which will be displayed in the corridors ready for September. Alongside the street artist, students could enjoy inflatables, football, and festival face painting and even had an opportunity to make their own ice cream with the College scientists.

The College provided a full line up of local bands, college performers, alumni poets and DJs under a canopy scattered with hay bales for that ultimate festival vibe! Amongst the popular performers was Saint Loe, a 4 piece band from Bath. Cynthia Nchang, student at St Brendan’s finished the day off perfectly with her soulful voice and powerful tones.
