The Sports Hall was a hive of activity this week, as thousands of students visited the College careers fair throughout the day.

The event, organised by the Careers Team, brought together a diverse range of universities, apprenticeship providers, public services and companies; all of whom were able to offer advice and guidance to students thinking about their next steps after College.

As soon as students enrol at St Brendan’s, their journey towards their future career begins. From day one, they have full access to careers guidance and their academic mentors explore options to prepare them for when the time comes. The Careers Fair is just one of the events held throughout the year to offer students further inspiration on their next steps.

As well as being well attended by students, the hall was also packed full of exhibitors, all keen to speak with students. Amongst the stall holders, students could visit well-established and respected employers including Burgess Salmon, HMRC, Network Rail and GKN. Students interested in the Public Services had a range of people to meet, including those from the RAF, Royal Navy, Avon & Somerset Police, whilst BioMed students were in their element with the University Hospital Trust and Bristol Dental Hospital. Meanwhile, the list of university visitors was extensive and included Warwick University, the University of Birmingham and Cardiff University.

A huge thank you to all those who supported the event. Students left feeling excited about what their future could hold and ready to take on their next steps.
