With over 87,000 people working in the financial service industry in the South West alone, and its continuing expansion as the regional economy grows, the students have promising and exciting futures ahead of them after graduating.

Nathan Berryman has secured a Higher Apprenticeship with BDO – one of the UK’s largest accountancy firms which has more than 1,200 offices worldwide across 140 countries! Nathan will be combining work experience with study on his road towards becoming a qualified Accountant. Lakshmi Sood and Andrew Fowler both look forward to starting their Finance Apprenticeships with the Ministry of Defence, whilst Elliot Lyne is going on to do a 360̊ apprenticeship programme with KPMG; a company which offers advisory services to some of the world’s biggest businesses. Holly Jones started studying Accounting during her second year at College, but after a few months into her AS course she knew it was the path for her! When she leaves College in July, she will begin a Finance Apprenticeship with Bristol City Council. Meanwhile Bilal Raja looks forward to starting a higher apprenticeship with Deloitte as part of their ‘Bright Start Scheme’; a world-wide brand which provides audit, consulting, financial advisory, tax and related services to clients. Will Maule will also be developing his Accounting skills with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), in their prestigious Flying Start Programme.

On top of these impressive Apprenticeships, a further eight of Claire’s students have secured places on Accounting-based degrees at a range of Universities; including The University of Bristol, The University of Manchester and Cardiff University!  Congratulations to all of our aspiring Accountants, we look forward to hearing all about your journeys after leaving St Brendan’s this summer.
