Not all St Brendan’s students continue on to university after leaving us. Many students secured places on apprenticeships this year and will be working for companies across the country whilst learning!

With the help of a fantastic Careers Team and plenty of information, students get the help and support needed to find and apply to apprenticeships. Mason Bean and Alice Gilbert are just two of our lucky students who will be starting with fantastic firms this autumn.

Mason studied Accounting, Business and English Language at St Brendan’s. Results Day was a successful day for the 18 year old, who achieved straight Bs in all of his subjects. Before leaving College, Mason was offered an apprenticeship with Deloitte on their BrightStart Programme. Mason looks forward to putting his A-level classes to use and will be a part of the Financial Services team; visiting clients and making sure their accounts are accurate. Deloitte was the world’s biggest firm in terms of fee income in the last financial year! The future looks bright for Mason.

Alice is another student who looks forward to starting an apprenticeship in September.  Alice studied BTEC Law and took a Diploma in Business Studies, as well as an Extended Project Qualification. After lots of hard work she achieved Distinction* in Law, a Double Distinction* in Business, and an A in her EPQ! Alice will be starting with the housing association group Curo at the beginning of next month. Curo work across the South West to provide homes and improve standards of living for families.
