Congratulations to the talented Musical Theatre students who have just completed a highly successful run of one of the best known off-Broadway shows of all time – Little Shop of Horrors.

They performed the gleefully gruesome musical in front of near sell-out audiences in the college’s purpose built theatre for three evenings and an afternoon matinee as the final piece for their Level Three BTEC Diploma course.

The show tells the tale of a down and out Skid Row floral assistant who becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood.

The charming, tuneful and hilarious production included a live orchestra made up of staff from the college’s Music department, and was a big hit with the audiences which at the matinee involved year five pupils from School of Christ the King Catholic Primary. Director Rachel Hunt was delighted with how the show went and said “The cast and production team worked extremely hard to create this stunning show and fully deserved the standing ovations that they received.”
