Festive sounds and warming winter tunes drifted from the College theatre last week, as BTEC Music Performing and A-level Music students entertained a sell-out crowd.

The talented group came together for one night only, and did not disappoint with their Winter Concert; the first of its type the College has ever seen. Throughout the evening, the packed theatre swayed and sang to a range of classic Christmas covers, performed by a mixture of both first and second year music students. In amongst the festive favourites, the audience enjoyed piano solos, flute duets and original compositions from singers, pianists, drummers, guitarists, trombone players and saxophonists.

During the interval, guests were able to enjoy acoustic Christmas carols in the café, whilst nibbling on mince pies and drinking hot chocolate. The kind donations from the generous audience have been passed on to The Trinity Centre; a Bristol-based organisation, which gives music-based opportunities to young people living in the city.
