The large College conference room was a hive of inspiration and motivation this week, as St Brendan’s students met with peers from across the region to plan for an impending big day.
Students prepare
Organised by the Careers Team, the 24 St Brendan’s students who have applied to Oxbridge this year, met with students from both Somerset College and St Katherine’s to plan how they can tackle their upcoming interviews.
The students were inspired by a passionate and informative presentation and then split into groups based on the subject areas they will be studying at degree level. They were given interactive group tasks and sample questions to talk through and shared thoughts and ideas about how best to approach such a life-changing interview.
This year, the Careers Team have supported 21 students through the Oxbridge application process. The large group are hoping to go on to the prestigious universities to study a range of subjects including Computer Science, History, Biology, Zoology and Engineering. We have our fingered and wish them the best of luck in their interviews which will be taking place throughout December!
