St Brendan’s students studying Religious Studies participated in an interesting conference entitled “Dying, Death and Beyond” recently.

The event was organised by Bristol Cathedral and explored the themes academically with talks from University staff; including Dr Rita Langer, Lecturer in Buddhist Studies at the University of Bristol, and Dr John Troyer, Director of the Centre for Death and Society at the University of Bath. There was also the chance for the students to join in reflective discussion groups and a question and answer panel with speakers from five different world faiths.
The day was very well organised and was enjoyed by the students who now look forward to applying what they learnt at the conference to the topics they are studying in class.
