The 4 students enjoying their evening

The four students pulled on their best black tie attire to attend the event, alongside hundreds of other guests; from industry experts to important faces in scientific research and HRH Princess Royal!

Celebrating 50 years since the first flight of Concorde, the students had an opportunity to look around the aircraft, described by one as “a true testament to British engineering”, and spoke to various people involved in the aerospace industry. Sitting under the wings of the world-renowned aircraft, the students ate dinner together and then were privileged enough to see the iconic nose dip; something which has not been done since Concorde last flew in 2003. Student Abigail Blackwell commented “It was a great evening, and wonderful to be inspired by such a famous piece of British engineering, which was born in Bristol itself.”
