The two visitors came to St Brendan’s to talk to students about the apprenticeship opportunities with Lyons Davidson Solicitors; a full legal practice which has been operating successfully across the UK for over 40 years. The company supports businesses, individuals and the insurance industry and so apprenticeships are varied and hugely interesting; a fantastic opportunity for many students across College interested in Law. As the successful organisation also offers support based apprenticeships as well as those in legal work, the opportunities are varied and applicable to many students.

The visitors spoke about the main legal apprenticeship available with Lyons Davidson. Students heard how the Paralegal Legal Apprenticeship would be studied over two years, ending in a Level 3 CILEx Apprenticeship qualification. Evie and Chantelle explained the entry requirements and many progression routes within the company, as well as how apprenticeships are a great way to build a career in law. Students were inspired to hear how apprentices often progressed to a Level 6 legal Executive, a title which offers the same responsibilities as a solicitor.

As well as apprenticeships, Lyons Davidson offer work experience and internships for the right candidates, in addition to alternative support based apprenticeship opportunities. Visit their website to find out more.
