Olly Osborne - Cabin Crew for EasyJet

Attended St Brendan's 2017-2020

Subjects Studied: Protective Services (=2) and A-level Geography

I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of my three year journey here and that comes down to the incredible support from my teachers and all the friends that I made.

One of the main things I really enjoyed about St Brendan's has to be the opportunity I was given to volunteer as a student ambassador and proudly represent the students of the college, which was an honour.

In my time as a student ambassador I gained a lot of valuable experience, developing my customer facing skills at open days and open evenings, as well as developing my public speaking and performance skills when I delivered talks about my time at St Brendan's to year 11s at schools in Bristol and Bath. As well as the technical skills I picked up, I also made so many amazing friends within the student ambassador team who really supported me to the end.

Another thing that i most enjoyed was all the memorable field trips that i had the opportunity to go on such as going to the Brecon Beacons and doing an expedition in Wales with my Public Services class. To then going on a trip of a lifetime visiting Naples, Italy. Also, going to the Eden project in Cornwall with my Geography class. All of these field trips were also beneficial to go on as what i learnt on them, it then helped me to complete some units or content later on.

The subjects I studied were BTEC Public services and A-Level Geography. Both of which were subjects that had very transferable skills such as team work, communication, problem solving and public speaking.

I am now flying for Easyjet as Cabin Crew based from Bristol Airport and I am very thankful for this opportunity to now fly for the company I have wanted to all of my life. I couldn't have got to where I am now without the ongoing support with my self development and improving my public speaking skills from St Brendan's.
