Since leaving St Brendan's, I have secured a job at Apple at Cribbs Causeway helping people with technology and I perform at weddings and parties as a professional magician - www.callumweavermagic.co.uk
Pursuing my dreams in becoming a magician really has been the hardest decision I have made so far. It has been the best thing for me although it took a lot of time and commitment.
Performing magic for George Ferguson really gave me the confidence boost needed to follow through on this potential career. I loved the experience, and it made me go, 'yes, this is what I want to do!'. It wasn't the only time that it made me say yes but it was a great experience nevertheless.
My advice to current students would be if there is something that you want to do so badly, because you love it so much and it is an important part of your life, then you do it. Magic isn't the easiest way of earning money and it can be very stressful at times, so if you don't love it then there isn't any point in doing it. Do what you love, even if it means making a few compromises in the short term.
I wouldn't change anything about my time at St Brendan's, I had a blast and everyone was really supportive.
In ten years' time, I still hope to be doing Magic. I know it's a bit corny but I am not bothered if it's on a cruise liner or a hotel. I love both of my jobs at the minute and couldn't wish for anything else.
