After completing her A-levels with St Brendan’s in 2014, Jess has now started her second year of a BSc Children’s Nursing course at UWE. Jess shared her experiences of University and talked about her two interesting placements at Bristol Children’s Hospital and the William Budd Health Centre.

Although her time at UWE has been challenging, Jess told the current students how St Brendan’s had prepared her well for her Higher Education studies and nursing training.

After completing her degree, Jess hopes to work within an intensive care unit treating sick new-borns who need specialised treatments. The sessions were very inspiring, particularly as many of the Health and Social Care students wish to pursue training within the medical field in the future.
